Kikaru is an artist portfolio platform built in React Native, designed, developed, and shipped by a two-person team I led from first concept to working product.
01 / The product
A portfolio app made for artists, not algorithms: clean artwork grids, profile pages that put the work first, and promotional visuals I designed to match. I owned the interface design and built it alongside one other developer.
02 / The team
Two people, one working product. I led the project end to end: scoping features, designing screens, writing code, and keeping the schedule honest. It's the same operations discipline I bring to client work, applied to shipping software.
03 / The localization
We localized the platform directly with artists in Korea and Japan, not through an agency. That meant obsessive editorial detail across three writing systems, checked line by line with native speakers. The demo above does what the product did: tap it and the UI cycles English → 日本語 → 한국어.
